Mr. James Edward Wilson, age 68, of Temple passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022. He was born in Black River Falls, Wisconsin on Wednesday, June 2, 1954. Mr. Wilson was the son of the late, Joseph Eli Wilson and the late, Ramona (King) Benson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Wilson.
Mr. Wilson made his career as a Welder for Republic Waste Management. He was a respected member of the Alcoholics Anonymous community and was very proud to recently celebrate 34 years of sobriety. Mr. Wilson was a known speaker at various A.A. events and changed many lives through his guidance and support.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie Starks and Leon Blackmon of Temple and Mary and Robbie Armstrong of Rome; his sisters, Julia Zimmerman of Jefferson, Wisconsin and Betty Jean Wilson of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; three brothers, Brian Wilson of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, Donnie Wilson of St. Paul, Minnesota, Gerald Wilson of Tampa, Florida; his grandchildren, Davis Johnson, Devin Derby, Hadley Johnson, Jace Derby and a number of other relatives.
In accordance with Mr. Wilson’s wishes, he will be cremated.
The family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date.
