John Allen Abbott

Mr. John Allen Abbott, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. He was born in Cambridge, Maryland on Thursday, June 12, 1947. Mr. Abbott was the son of the late, John A. Abbott and the late, Harriett R. (Zimmerman) Abbott. In addition to his parents, Mr. Abbott is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Smith) Abbott.

Mr. Abbott loved working with his hands and made his career as a Master Carpenter. In his spare time, John enjoyed riding motorcycles, going fishing, and in years past, breeding and raising horses.

Survivors include his son, David McGee; his daughter, Lisa Kenny; his brothers, David Abbott and Mark Abbott; his sisters, Susan Brincefield and Jan File; his grandchildren, Emily and Tim Loggins, Jordan Hopper, Heather Hopper, and Chris Klements; one great grandson, Jackson Chase Loggins and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, Mr. Abbott will be cremated.
