Alice Ruth (Smith) Turner

Mrs. Alice Ruth Turner, age 73, of Temple passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Mrs. Turner was born on Thursday, November 4, 1943 in Cleburne County, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Melvin Earnest Smith and the late Levada (Skinner) Smith. Besides her parents, Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Smith and John Smith; two sisters, Dorothy Wilson and Floy Akers and one grandson, Joshua Turner (Son of Lisa Kilgore).

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Carroll Linvel Turner of Temple; her son, Chris Turner and his wife, Jenny Turner of Villa Rica; her daughter, Gina Murray and her husband, Timothy Murray of Olney, Maryland; her daughter, Lisa Kilgore of Carrollton; her stepson, Joel Johnson and his wife Tangie Johnson of Carrollton; four sisters, Yvonne Cash of Bremen, Chloe Harvell of Buchanan, Jo Thompson of Carrollton and Joyce Holloman of Temple; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Kilgore of Carrollton, Avery Turner and his wife Maddie Turner of Temple, Kalen Murray of Olney, Maryland, Logan Kilgore of Carrollton, Griffin Murray of Olney, Maryland, Kade Turner and Gracie Turner both of Villa Rica as well as a number of other relatives and many loving friends.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 4 P.M. from the First Baptist Church of Temple with Reverend Larry Boswell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 3 P.M. until the funeral hour.
