Bernita Mary Cameron

Mrs. Bernita Mary (Hood) Cameron, age 77, of Temple passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 20, 1947. Mrs. Cameron was the daughter of the late, Joseph Hood, Sr. and the late, Eleanor (Daugherty) Hood. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cameron is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Charles Cameron; by her brothers, Joseph Hood, Jr. and Michael Hood; and by her sisters, Carol Hood, Margaret Hood, and Eleanor Hood.

Mrs. Cameron retired as a Manager for Kessler Plumbing Supply after many years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Bernita loved her family deeply, most especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons and one daughter-in-law, Shariff Lawrence of Virginia, Stephen and Sharnell Cameron of Powder Springs, and Joseph Cameron of New Jersey; her daughters, Stephanie Jackson of Temple and Lilla Kirby of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; her grandchildren, Brianna Rivera, Cameron Rivera, Christopher DeLisline, Tasia Kirby, Andrew Kirby, Shanelle Waters, Jnina Waters Tatyana Jackson, Zoryana Jackson, Oriana Stevens, Omari Cameron, and Aliviah Cameron; her great grandchildren, Carter Jackson, Azaryah Blount, Aurora Jackson, Prince Speid, Jaxson Stevens, Theodore Stevens, and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mrs. Cameron’s arrangements, she will be cremated.
