Ms. Catherine Linda (Crain) Sweet, age 66, of Temple passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017. She was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois on Wednesday, March 29, 1950. Ms. Sweet was the daughter of the late John Burgess Crain and the late Dorothy Christine (Snyder) Crain. Besides her parents, Ms. Sweet is also preceded in death by one son, Dustin Harmon and by one grandson, Aaron Sweet.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Nancy Sweet of Temple; her daughter, Chystie Sweet of Temple; her children’s adopted father, Russel E. Harmon, Jr. of Urbana, Illinois; five brothers and two sisters-in-law, Dan and Marion Crain of New Gloucester, Maine, Kenny Crain of Monticello, Illinois, Bobby and Linda Crain of Champaign, Illinois, Timmy Crain of St. Joseph, Illinois and David Crain of Urbana, Illinois; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Cheryl Roth of St. Joseph, Illinois, Stephanie and Bryan Landice of Champaign, Illinois, Angela Wisdom of Bloomington, Illinois, Joanna Holt of Boulder, Colorado and Melissa and Jim Bowers of Bridgeman, Michigan; grandchildren: Megan Bryant of Buchanan, Joshua and Samantha Sweet, Brandon Sweet, Tyler Downs, and Tabitha Burns all of Temple; great-grandchildren: Aiden Sweet of Carrollton, Camden Bryant of Buchanan and Kensley Craig of Temple as well as a number of other relatives.
In accordance with Ms. Sweet’s wishes, her body will be cremated.
