Charles Rearden Brazell, Jr.

Mr. Charles Rearden Brazell, Jr., affectionately known as “Poppy” to his beloved grandchildren, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the age of 73. He was born in LaFayette, Alabama on December 25, 1951. Mr. Brazell was the son of the late, Charles Rearden Brazell, Sr. and the late, Mary Evelyn (Royston) Brazell.

He was a dedicated and skilled professional, having owned and operated his own HVAC company, Brazell Heating and Air, which later became known as Mr. C’s. After 35 years of devoted service in the industry, Charles retired, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and commitment to his craft.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Charles was an artist at heart. He took great pleasure in working with his hands, showcasing his talents through oil and acrylic paintings. His artistic abilities extended into carpentry, where he meticulously crafted pieces that reflected his skill and passion for the trade. In addition to his artistic endeavors, Charles found joy in the great outdoors. He was an avid fisherman who cherished the time spent outside, cultivating his garden, and cooking on the grill.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of forty seven years, Linda (Davis) Brazell of Villa Rica; his daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Jason Branton of Villa Rica, Tonya and Stephen Rozo of Canton, and Misty and Jamie Mathews of North Richland Hills, Texas; his brother and sister-in-law, John and Jo Ann Brazell; his sister, Liz Hearing of Cumming; grandchildren, Mallory Lentz, Pike Mathews, Gage Mathews, Hannah Villalvazo and her husband, Rafael, Destin Jessen and Dayton Jessen and his fiancée, Brianna. Mr. Brazell is also survived by two great grandchildren, Brixton Villalvazo, Maddox Villalvazo and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mr. Brazell’s wishes, he will be cremated.

The family plans to hold a private service at a later date.
