Charles Michael Coffey, Sr.

Mr. Charles Michael Coffey, Sr., age 74, of Temple passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. He was born in Atlanta on January 15, 1951. Mr. Coffey is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Coffey and Alice Mae Coffey.

Mr. Coffey dedicated many years of his life to the auto body and paint industry, retiring in 2017. He was known for his straightforward nature; those who knew him were always aware of where they stood with Mike. He had a strong personality and was never shy to share his opinions. Outside of his professional pursuits, Mike was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in mowing his grass, a task that brought him happiness, and taking his loyal pet dog, Randall, on rides in his truck. Mike was also fondly known as “Pig Man” by many in the community, which came from his enjoyment in taking care of his pet pigs.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Michael Coffey, Jr. and Lisa Campisi of Temple and Richard Jenkins and Sherry Turner of Carrollton; his grandchildren, Trinity Sky Ayers of Temple, Joseph Coffey of Temple, Cooper Coffey of Temple, Sebastian Anderson of Temple, Brady Jenkins of Carrollton and Airy Jenkins of Carrollton. Mr. Coffey is also survived by his brothers, his sisters, and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mr. Coffey’s arrangements, he will be cremated.
