Clifford Eddie Rich

Mr. Clifford Eddie Rich, age 87, of Bowdon (originally of Madisonville, Kentucky), passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021. He was born in Wyandotte, Oklahoma on Friday, April 27, 1934. Mr. Rich was the son of the late, Ernest Rich and the late, Ruby (Billings) Rich. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rich is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Rich and one sister, Geraldine Wheeler.

Mr. Rich served his Country in the United States Army. Later in life he made a career working for the State of Kentucky Highway Department. Mr. Rich and his wife were members at the First Baptist Church of Madisonville, Kentucky. He also served as Music Director at many Churches in the Hopkins County area for several years. Mr. Rich was a member of the Madisonville, Kentucky Lions Clubs for over 10 years and was an avid fan of all University of Kentucky sports, especially basketball. Mr. Rich enjoyed woodworking, music and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of over 70 years, Mildred Joyce (Gatlin) Rich of Bowdon; his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Patricia Rich of Bowdon; one sister, Carolyn Bailey of Florida; one nephew, Derek Rich of Evansville, Indiana; one niece, Faith Rich Fidler of Logan, Ohio and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, Mr. Rich will be cremated.
