Mr. Danny Wayne Clay, age 50, of Villa Rica passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025. He was born in Villa Rica on January 13, 1975. Danny was the son of the late, C.B. Clay and the late, Dorothy (Shepherd) Reese Clay. In addition to his parents, Mr. Clay is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Amy Duette (Woods) Clay, and by three brothers, Richard Clay, Ed Clay, and Ralph Clay.
Danny was a devoted father and took great joy in spending time with his beloved daughters, Gracie Clay and Carly Belle Clay, who were the light of his life. Danny's love for them knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent creating memories filled with love and laughter. Danny also held a special place in his heart for his faithful companion, his pet dog named Carl, who provided him with unwavering companionship through life’s joys and challenges.
A dedicated professional, Danny began his pharmaceutical career with Revco Discount Drug Center in Villa Rica, which later transitioned to CVS Pharmacy. He devoted 24 years of service as a State Certified Pharmacy Technician, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
Danny's life was characterized by his unwavering commitment to those he loved, his passion for his career, and his enduring spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Gracie Clay and Carly Belle Clay, both of Villa Rica; two brothers, Lee Clay of Villa Rica and Michael Clay of Temple; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Sheila and Billy Wilbanks of Villa Rica and Tammy Lanham of Carrollton. Danny is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a number of other relatives, and many friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 2 P.M. from the funeral home chapel.
Mr. Clay will lie in state at the funeral home on Tuesday, prior to the service, from 1 P.M. until the funeral hour.
In accordance with Mr. Clay’s arrangements, he will be cremated following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expenses.
