Mr. Darrell Lamar Barber, Sr., age 65, of Temple passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017. He was born in Atlanta on Wednesday, December 26, 1951. Mr. Barber was the son of the late Homer T. Barber and the late Eva Mae (Carroll) Barber. Besides his parents, Mr. Barber is preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Barber.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Diane (Lunsford) Barber of Temple; his son and daughter-in-law, Darrell Barber, Jr. and Kari Ann Barber of Temple; his two step-daughters, Jessica Gravett of Dallas, (Georgia) and Kristi Lovell of Whitesburg; his brother, Kenneth Barber of Jacksonville, Florida; his sister, Mary Andrews of Franklin; six grandchildren, Gavin Hicks, Jarod Hicks, Ryann Gravett, Samuel Gravett, Bridgette Lovell, and Trenity Lovell as well as a number of other relatives.
Mr. Barber served in the United States Army. He later became, and worked as a carpenter.
In accordance with Mr. Barber’s wishes, he will be cremated.
The family will conduct a Memorial Service at a later date.
