Mrs. Debra Lynn (Porter) Steele, age 64, of Temple passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020. She was born in Phenix City, Alabama on Friday, June 29, 1956. Mrs. Steele was the daughter of the late, Lewis Donald Porter and the late, Elizabeth (Meadows) Porter.
Mrs. Steele enjoyed reading romance novels, watching old westerns and the shopping channel. She especially enjoyed sitting around the kitchen table with family and friends, playing cards and enjoying her favorite drink, Pepsi.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Bobby David Steele of Temple; three sons and two daughters-in-law, David Steele of Temple, Bobby and Rachel Steele of Carrollton, and John and Sara Steele of Bowdon; one daughter and son-in-law, September and Bryan Caldwell of Spokane, Washington; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Derick and Amber Porter of Pauling County, Dallas and Ruth Porter of Paulding County, and Mark Porter of Cumming; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Donna and Gerald Blinkhorn of Marietta and Paula Porter of Eclectic, Alabama; fifteen grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 6P.M. until 8P.M.
In accordance with Mrs. Steele’s wishes, she will be cremated following the visitation.
