Doris (Dobbs) Gordon

Mrs. Doris (Dobbs) Gordon, age 86, of Temple passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. She was born in Temple on Sunday, April 9, 1933. Mrs. Gordon was the daughter of the late, Samuel Murdock Dobbs, Sr. and the late, Trudy (White) Dobbs. Besides her parents, Mrs. Gordon is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Gordon; her brother, Samuel Murdock Dobbs, Jr. and her two sisters, Jewel Dean Bradley and Glenda Petty.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Reverend Tony and Diane Gordon of Temple; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Reverend Russell and Lynn Shadrix of Carrollton and Reverend James and Nita Burdette of Villa Rica; six grandchildren and their spouses, Brandi and Kevin Norton, Brittany Gordon, Kristen Shadrix and her fiancé Jonathon Peterson, Lyndsey and Casey Arrington, Cristy and Bobby House and Sherri and Brent Powell; five great-grandchildren, Carter Arrington, Abigail House, Madeline House, Tyler Brown, Christopher Brown and a number of other relatives.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 4P.M. until 8P.M.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 2P.M. from Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tony Gordon and Reverend Russell Shadrix officiating. Mrs. Gordon will lie in state from 1P.M. until the funeral hour.

Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery with Reverend James Burdette officiating the committal service.
