Earl Canon Dunaway

Mr. Earl Canon Dunaway, age 88, of Temple passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017.  Mr. Dunaway was born in Rockmart, Georgia, on November 15, 1928.  He was the son of the late Jesse Monroe Dunaway and the late Nobie Hendrix Dunaway.  Mr. Dunaway was a retired self-employed business owner.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Nichols and Laura Mae Dunaway; and three brothers, Bobby Dunaway, Forest Dunaway and Joe Dunaway.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Joan Potate Dunaway of Temple; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann and Lester Harmon, and Susan and Jimmy Tidwell all of Temple; six grandchildren, Crystal Bice, Carol Shumake, Stacy Shiery, Eric Tidwell, Candi Wilson and Jessica Cole; twelve great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 9, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Boswell officiating.  Private interment will follow later.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.
