Mr. Edward John Ludvicek, age 87, of Temple passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020. He was born in Hanover, Kansas on Wednesday, February 10, 1932. Mr. Ludvicek was the son of the late, Amelia Ludvicek. Besides his mother, Mr. Ludvicek is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Louise (Wheeler) Ludvicek. Mr. Ludvicek served in the United States Army. Later in life, he retired from the City of Atlanta Fire Department after 27 years of service. Mr. Ludvicek enjoyed woodworking, spending time outdoors, camping, working in the yard and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include his two sons, Anthony Ludvicek and John Ludvicek both of Temple; two daughters and sons-in-law, Victoria and Karl Kesler of Cusseta, Alabama and Kimberly and Cory Crocker of Bloomingdale, Georgia; one sister, Lois Andres of Topeka, Kansas; six grandchildren and their spouses, Brittany and Shane Bright, Shelby Matheson, Jonathan and Kaylee Haley, Christopher and Chelsea Crocker, Mathew and Bridget Crocker, and Makenzie Crocker; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler Croker, Mason Crocker, Emberleigh Crocker, Mia Maynor, Payton Matheson, Christian Haley, Braydon Haley, Jordan Bright and a number of other relatives.
In accordance with Mr. Ludvicek’s wishes, he will be cremated.
A Committal Service with Military Honors and Interment will be conducted at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 11:30 A.M.
