Mr. Fleet Aron Hester, Jr., age 77, of Bremen passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. He was born in Pontotoc, Mississippi on August 1, 1946. Mr. Hester was the son of the late, Fleet Aron Hester, Sr. and the late, Alice (Singleton) Hester. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hester is preceded in death by his brother, Edward Hester, by two sisters, Nell Tutor and Dorothy Williams, and by his sister-in-law, Dale McGukin.
Mr. Hester was a graduate of Bowdon High School. He later went on to have a forty-year career as a Meat Cutter, working for Big Apple Grocery and then Food Giant. Mr. Hester was a member of Bremen Church of Christ.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Rebecca (McGukin) Hester of Bremen; his son, Greg Hester of Alpharetta; his daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Tom Spears of Acworth; and by one sister, Nancy Thornton of Dallas; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Grant and Wanda McGukin of Carrollton and Drew and Dona Rae McGukin of Farmington, Pennsylvania. Mr. Hester is also survived by his special friends, Sam and Sabrina Collins of Bremen, David and Ardoth McGukin of Bremen, and Loretta Gray Reagan of Bremen.
The family will be hosting a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 4P.M. at Bremen Church of Christ with Minister Chad Dollahite officiating and congregational music being led by Jesse Reagan.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday, immediately following the service.
Private interment will be conducted at Center Point Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations, In Fleet Aron Hester, Jr.’s Memory, be made to Tanner Hospice at 100 Greenway Blvd Suite B, Carrollton, GA 30117.
