Gene Bradley

Mr. Gene Bradley, age 83, of Temple passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021. He was born in the Draketown Community of Haralson County on Friday, July 23, 1937. Mr. Bradley was the son of the late, Garfield Bradley and the late, Lula Mae (Browning) Bradley. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bradley is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Luke Bradley, Oscar Bradley, Bruce Bradley, his twin Jerline Payne and Doris Reeves.

Mr. Bradley made his career by working 35 years in the construction business and served the City of Temple as a City Councilman during the 70’s. Gene was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church in Temple, where he served as both a Deacon and an Officer. Mr. Bradley loved his family and was an enthusiastic supporter of family member’s during various sporting events.

Survivors include his wife, Verma Jean (Conaway) Bradley of Temple; brother-in-law, Jay (Gail) Conaway of Temple; sister-in-law, Sue Bailey of Rainsville, Alabama, sister-in-law, Ruby Bradley and many generations of nieces and nephews that he loved as his own.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 5P.M. until 8P.M.

Funeral services will be conducted at Faith Baptist Church (161 Miller Agan Road Temple, GA 30179) on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 2P.M. with Jay Conaway and Matt Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow is Asbury Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Byrd officiating the committal service and the following gentlemen serving as Pallbearers: Matt Johnson, Clay Conaway, Jerry Loveless, John Dufour, Donnie Mapp, Kevin Norton, Steve McGinnis, and Cliff Sanders.

Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic, we encourage guests to wear masks and maintain a proper social distance from those of other households.
