Mrs. Glenda Ann (Wilkins) Cox, age 76, of Temple passed away on January 1, 2024. She was born in Dekalb County on August 25, 1947. Mrs. Cox was the daughter of the late, Lonnie Wilkins and the late, Maurice “Marie” Smith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox is preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Tommy” Cox, by five of her siblings, and by her beloved grandson, James “Jake” Jason Gumm.
Mrs. Cox retired from Advo Systems as a Shipping Clerk after many years of service. She enjoyed spending time with family and attending local professional wrestling events with her sister. Above all, Glenda loved her family and she will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ronald Wayne Gumm, Jr. of Temple, and Michael and Candy Cox of Villa Rica; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Jason Bowman of Villa Rica, and Dawn and Randy Doss of Franklin; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Sammy Wilkins of Tucker, and James and Sandy Wilkins of Coylton; two sisters, Janan Pierce of Villa Rica and Diane Smith of McDonough; her grandchildren, Stevan Smith, Michelle Ayers, Hunter Thomason, Cooper Cox, Jessica Shepherd, Stephanie Shepherd, Andrew Bowman, Crystal Aspinwall, and Glennie Bailey; her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ghlyanna, Addie, Remy, Harlee, Christian, Connor, Kennesy and a number of other relatives.
In accordance with Mrs. Cox’s arrangements, she will be cremated.
The family will be holding a Memorial Service at Fullerville Baptist Church in Villa Rica on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 1P.M.
Interment will follow at West Georgia Memorial Park at a later date.
