Gordon Terrell Vaughn

Mr. Gordon Terrell Vaughn, age 57, of Carrollton passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019. He was born on Friday, July 7, 1961 in Atlanta. Mr. Vaughn was the son of the late, James Silvey Vaughn and the late, Nokomis Elaine (McNelley) Vaughn. Besides his parents, Mr. Vaughn is preceded in death by his son, T.J. Vaughn.

Mr. Vaughn made a career working as a Transmission Specialist for Abercrombie Transmission Services in Douglasville. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, fishing, camping, hiking, boat riding and wood working. Mr. Vaughn especially loved spending time with his friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, Shelba Ann George of Carrollton; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Nicole Vaughn of Douglasville; one daughter and son-in-law, Toshia and Robert Pettit of Douglasville; three brothers, Royce Vaughn of Douglasville, Warren Paris of Bremen and Carl Sweet of Temple; one sister, Amanda Vaughn Pyle of Douglasville; his grandchildren, Misty Brown, Wendy Brown, Summer Brown, and Jonathan Wallace; his nieces and nephews, Chelsey Dunham, Mikenzie Vaughn, Tyler Vaughn and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mr. Vaughn’s wishes, he will be cremated.
