Harold Ernest Haney, Sr.

Mr. Harold Ernest Haney, Sr., age 84, of Temple passed away on, Tuesday, February 11, 2020. He was born on Thursday, August 22, 1935 in Hapeville, GA to the late, Willie Ira Haney and the late, Willow Nell (Plumley) Haney. Besides his parents, Mr. Haney is preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Bearden Haney; one son, Harry Haney and one brother, Buddy Haney.

Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Dianne Privett of Temple, Kathy and Steve Autry of Locust Grove and Tammy Wilson of Griffin; two sons and one daughter-in-law,, Ernest Haney, Jr. and Lora Haney of Covington and Anthony and Sandra Haney of Dallas; one sister, Ella Nation of Riverdale; two brothers, Jim Haney of Covington and Danny Haney of Georgia; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.

In keeping with Mr. Haney’s wishes he will be cremated.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from the Chapel at Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with Pastor John Butler officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 12 Noon until the service hour.
