Jake May

Mr. Jake Eden May, age 80, of Carrollton passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. He was born in Prattville, Alabama on September 21, 1944. Mr. May was the son of the late, William Joseph May and the late, Rosey Mar (Dowd) May. In addition to his parents, Mr. May is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Randall May and by one sister, Charlotte May Voyles.

Jake was an excellent mechanic. He loved horses, cars, motorcycles, fishing, running and music. His children loved him very much. He was very proud of his two girls and considered them the best thing he had ever done. He has had many great friends throughout his lifetime.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and John Robinson of Auburn, Alabama, and Dana and Greg Heldreth of Huntsville, Alabama; one sister, Bonnie Sue May of Lady Lake, Florida. Mr. May is also survived by his grandchildren, Rachel Robinson, Craig Smith, Ryan Matthews, Lauren Weedon, and Peyton Weedon; his close friend, Lane Hosea, and a number of other family members and friends.

In accordance with Mr. May’s wishes, he will be cremated.
