James John Crosby, Jr.

Mr. James John Crosby, Jr., age 77, of Bremen, Georgia passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023. He was born in Aurora, Illinois on May 16, 1946. Mr. Crosby was the son of the late James John Crosby, Sr. and the late Dorothy (Covington) Crosby. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crosby is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Ann (Walters) Crosby and by two sisters, Ginger Johnson and Susan McNew.

Mr. Crosby was a graduate of Sycamore High School in Illinois. He would later go on to serve in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Following his Military service, Mr. Crosby worked for many years as a Forklift Operator for Crown Lift Trucks. James was a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S (VFW) and the American Legion.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Cindy Crosby of Piqua, Ohio, three daughters, Rhonda Crosby of St Mary's, Ohio, Trina Krive of Sullivan, Missouri, Bridget Crosby-Hanson of Lee, Illinois, Two step sons, Mark Boehmer of Kingston, Illinois and Eric Boehmer of Kirkland, Illinois; a step daughter Colleen Cerutti of Dekalb, Illinois; his brother and sister-in-law, David and Nancy Crosby of Genoa, Illinois; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Dottie Hove and John Butts of Sycamore, Illinois, Patricia and John Weinert of Sycamore, Illinois, Sharron and John O’Brien of Pleasant Hill, California, and Mary Shutter of Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Crosby is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mr. Crosby’s wishes, he will be cremated.

An Inurnment Service with Military Honors will be conducted at Georgia National Cemetery on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 11:30 A.M.
