James Robert Whitlock

Mr. James Robert Whitlock, age 58, of Temple passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022. He was born in Rome on Thursday, October 17, 1963. Mr. Whitlock was the son of the late, Emmanuel Whitlock and the late, Opal Wilkerson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Whitlock is preceded in death by his daughter, Jaymie Whitlock, his brother, Tony Whitlock and his sister, Lisa Dover.

Mr. Whitlock made a career as a Truck Driver. He was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan and enjoyed wearing and collecting items that the Tasmanian Devil pictured on them. James also enjoyed riding motorcycles, watching westerns, and above all, spending time with his family.

Survivors include his two sons, Buddy Whitlock of Loganville and Brandon Whitlock of Temple; brothers, Joseph Fricks of Temple and Bradley Nguyen of Temple; sister, Melissa Wilkerson Hubbard of Fairplay granddaughter, Claire Whitlock of Loganville; great uncle and great aunt, Willard and Shirley Wilkerson of Douglasville and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, Mr. Whitlock will be cremated.
