James Eric Hicks

Mr. James Eric Hicks, age 49, of Temple passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016. He was born in Powder Springs on Friday, September 1, 1967. Mr. Hicks is preceded in death by his father, William Jon Hicks.
Survivors include his two sons and one daughter-in-law, Levi Hicks of Carrollton and Charles and Charlee Hilbers of Carrollton; two daughters, Ashley Hicks of Temple and Hannah Hicks of Carrollton; his mother, Elizabeth Diane (McKenzie) Hicks of Temple; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Darrell and Teresa Hicks of Carrollton and Derrick Hicks of Temple; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Angie and James Mills of Douglasville and Debbie Williams of Macon; three grandchildren, Shanna Murray of Temple, Mason Hicks of Carrollton, and Isabella Murray of Temple; his ex-wife, Wanda Sue Hatcher of Carrollton and a number of other relatives.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, Mr. Hicks will be cremated.
New Genesis Baptist Church (located at 6986 Hiram Douglasville Hwy., Douglasville, GA 30134) will conduct a Memorial Service on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at 1:30 P.M. with Reverend Lloyd Latham officiating.
