Mr. Jimmy John “JJ” James, age 50, of Temple passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. He was born Grantsville, West Virginia on January 2, 1974. Mr. James was the son of the late, Cecil James and the late, Dortha Dian (Simmons) James.
Mr. James was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Temple. JJ was very active in Church, serving in many capacities. Some of which include, teaching the teen class, nursing home outreach, bus ministries, and cooking for various Church functions. He owned and operated Backwoods RV Service. JJ was a man of integrity and one who cared more for others then himself. He believed in hard work, which was proven by his dedication to his business, and the loyalty of his customers. He gave his life to God and was born again on April 7, 2007. From then on, he loved and feared the Lord more than anything else. He cared for people and would give the shirt off his back to those in need. More importantly, he cared about their soul and their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He always made sure that whatever he did, the light of Jesus shined through him. Though he will be greatly missed, we know he is in a better place called heaven. He is praising and worshipping God, with no pain or suffering, forever to be with the Lord.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Diane (Morris) James of Temple, his sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Jeffrey Thacker of Florida, his nieces, Autumn, Emily, and a number of other relatives.
