Johnny Ross Pirkle

Mr. Johnny Ross Pirkle, age 68, of Villa Rica passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was born in Douglasville on Tuesday, September 1, 1953. Mr. Pirkle was the son of the late, Ross Pirkle and the late, Lizzie May (Wilkerson) Pirkle. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pirkle is preceded in death by one brother, Paul Pirkle and by one sister, Dale Gillstrap.

Mr. Pirkle enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, going fishing and working outdoors. He was known for his humorous personality and enjoyed making those around him laugh. Johnny has always had a relationship with God but drew closer to Him in the later years of his life. Mr. Pirkle loved spending time with his family, especially his great-granddaughter Delilah. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy (Griffin) Pirkle of Villa Rica; three sons, Jimmy Carpenter, Johnny Carpenter and William Pirkle all of Villa Rica; two daughters, Jennifer Pirkle of Villa Rica and Shana Pirkle of Douglasville; two brothers, Hugh Pirkle of Savannah and Carlos Pirkle of Villa Rica; two sisters, Minnie Pirkle of Bremen and Cora Rushton; eight grandchildren, Matthew, LaKayla, Hunter, Dixie, Whitney, Kaila, Tori and Taylor; one great-granddaughter, Delilah and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mr. Pirkle’s wishes, he will be cremated.
