Ms. Joy Lawanda (Sanders) Rowell, age 62, of Whitesburg passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. She was born in Carrollton on Sunday, June 12, 1955. Ms. Rowell was the daughter of the late Winston Taylor Sanders and the late Catherine Ellen (Brown) Sanders.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Brad Bishop and Darlene Adams of Villa Rica; daughter, Jody Bishop of Whitesburg; sister and brother-in-law, Sheryl and Donald Story of Whitesburg; six grandchildren: Chad Farr of Paris, France, Josh Farr of Atlanta, Brendon Bishop and his fiancée, Taylor Swanger of Villa Rica, Kira Bishop of Whitesburg, Renea Bishop of Whitesburg, and Christian Hayman of Whitesburg; three great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, Ms. Rowell’s body will be cremated.
