Mrs. Judith Aileen (Vandrew) Ardrey, age 77, of Temple passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015. Mrs. Ardrey was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, May 4, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Paul Vandrew and the late Gladys (Smith) Vandrew. Besides her parents, Mrs. Ardrey is preceded in death by one sister, Luanne Scialabba.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin Ardrey of Temple, Georgia; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Lorrie Ardrey of Temple, Georgia; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Paula Ardrey of Strongstown, Pennsylvania, Peggy Ardrey-Stranford of Villa Rica, Georgia, Lisa and John Thompson of Lawrenceville, and Veronica and Ronald Hull of Normalville, Pennsylvania; one brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Kay Vandrew of San Diego, California; one sister, Amy Ciccarella of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania; eleven grandchildren, Eric Gregorich of Canton, Georgia, Amanda Findley of Bolivar, Pennsylvania, Jennifer Orr of Bolivar, Pennsylvania, Shawn Rodkey of Blairsville, Pennsylvania, Joshua Rodkey of Bolivar, Pennsylvania, Jordan Yockey of Villa Rica, Georgia Michael Martin of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Justin Ardrey of Temple, Georgia, Lydia Ardrey of Temple, Georgia, Rachel Hull of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Marcus Hull of Normalville, Pennsylvania; 10 great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Mrs. Ardrey was a homemaker and a member various organizations some of which include: (RVICS) Roving Volunteers In Christ’s Service and Ombudsman Senior Advocacy Services. She was very active in the Temple Senior Center and the Temple First Baptist Church. Mrs. Ardrey was a loving mother and wife. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading historic Christian novels, and baking.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Judith Ardrey will be conducted at the Temple First Baptist Church on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2pm with Reverend Larry Boswell officiating.
The family will receive guests at the Church on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 1pm until the Memorial Service begins.
