Kristal Annette (Talton) Cantrell
, 39, of Sealy, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at her Aunt’s home with her family by her side. She was born September 15, 1975, in Pasadena, Texas, the daughter of Charles Randal Talton and Carol Lyn (Ingalls) Burchett.
Kristal grew up in Deer Park, Texas, attending Deer Park Elementary School. In 1987, she moved to Marietta, Georgia, and attended Dodgen Middle School before graduating from Pope High School in 1995. Kristal was united in marriage to her beloved Snuggle Buggle, Joseph Arthur Cantrell, on July 29, 1995, in Roswell, Georgia. She and Joe moved to Tifton, Georgia, in 1995, where they made their home before moving to Austell, Georgia, in 2000, for a short time. From 2001 until 2010, they lived in Dallas, Georgia. Kristal and Joe moved to Texas, where they made their home in Katy, before moving back to Georgia and then returning back to Texas for extended treatment at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
She enjoyed camping and caving, ice skating and sci-fi conventions. Kristal also was an avid painter and flip flop designer. She loved all outdoor activities, especially camping and swimming.
She was such an inspiration to others with her wonderful and unique perspective on life. Her personality was that of one who loved everyone and she had a special place in her heart for animals. Although she despised conflict, she truly fought her disease for almost eight years, often hiding her pain by saying, “It’s all good.”
She was a member of the Heirway Christian Ministries in Villa Rica, Georgia and attended First Baptist Church of Sealy. Kristal was employed with Wal-Mart as a retail clerk for almost twenty years.
Kristal is survived by her husband: Joseph A. Cantrell of Sealy; Father and Step Mother: Charles “Randal” and Sally Talton, of Acworth, Georgia; Mother and Step Father: Carol Lyn and Manley Burchett, of Houston, Texas; Mother-In-Law: Mary Raines Cantrell of Waco, Georgia; Brother: Terry Wayne Talton and his wife, Carol Leigh, of Acworth, Georgia; Brother-In-Law: Jason Parks Cantrell and his wife, Tonya, of Holly Springs, Georgia; Aunts and Uncles: Cynthia Ann and Eugene C.
