Linda Claire (Cory) Malone

Mrs. Linda Claire (Cory) Malone, age 72, of Villa Rica passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on Friday, April 14, 1950. Mrs. Malone was the daughter of the late, Albert Richard Cory and the late, Marion Elizabeth (Callegari) Cory.

Linda attended the University of Alabama where she met her husband, Thomas. After earning her degree in education, she spent the next 41 years teaching math at Oneonta City Schools in Alabama and at Whitfield County Schools in Georgia. Mrs. Malone enjoyed cooking and going camping. One of her favorite places to go camping was Noccalula Falls in Alabama. Linda was also an avid Alabama Crimson Tide Football fan and during the fall, Saturdays were dedicated to watching the games with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Thomas Russell Malone of Villa Rica; her son and daughter-in-law, John and Sybil Malone of Sheffield, Alabama; her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Greg Arnold of Villa Rica; her grandchildren, Addison Arnold, Blakely Arnold and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mrs. Malone’s wishes, she will be cremated.
