Mrs. Mary (West) Newsom, age 68, of Temple passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017. She was born in Cartersville on Sunday, August 22, 1948. Mrs. Newsom was the daughter of the late Joseph Marion West and the late Mary Helen West. Besides her parents, Mrs. Newsom is preceded in death by her husband, James Newsom.
Survivors include her fiancé, Tommy Presley of Temple; one son, Larry Sailors of Yorkville; one daughter, Helen Sailors of Temple; one brother, Marion West of Douglasville; one sister, Joan Bryan of Powder Springs as well as number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from the Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Homer Wysner officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Douglasville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
