Robert Henry Gordon

Mr. Robert Henry Gordon, age 88, of Temple passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. He was born in Temple on Tuesday, June 10, 1930. Mr. Gordon was the son of the late Joseph Carl Gordon and the late Lois Mildred (Eady) Gordon. Besides his parents, Mr. Gordon is preceded in death by two brothers, J.C. Gordon and Charles Gordon and by two sisters, Mary Agan and Ruby Dobbs.

Survivors include his wife, Doris (Dobbs) Gordon of Temple; her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Diane Gordon of Temple; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Lynn and Russell Shadrix of Carrollton and Nita and James Burdette of Villa Rica; one brother, Weyman Gordon of Temple; two sisters, Millie Kinney of Temple and Alice Mowery of Buchanan; six grandchildren and their spouses, Sherri Brown, Cristy and Bobby House, Lyndsey and Casey Arrington, Kristen Shadrix, Brittany Gordon, and Brandi Gordon; four great grandchildren, Christopher Brown, James Tyler Brown, Madeline House, Abigail House, and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 2P.M. from the Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend James Burdette, Reverend Russell Shadrix, and Reverend Tony Gordon officiating. Mr. Gordon will lie in state from 1 P.M. until the funeral hour.

Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery in Temple.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M.
