Roy Ayers

Mr. Marvin Leroy (Roy) Ayers , age 74, of Temple passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015. He was born in Douglas County on Thursday, April 18, 1940 and was the son of the late Marvin Lee Ayers and the late Mattie Lee (Lassiter) Ayers.

Survivors include his wife Irene (George) Ayers of Temple; Four sons and three daughters-in-law, Ricky and Virginia Ayers of Temple, Randy Ayers of Alvin, Texas, Robby and Terri Ayers of Bremen, and Scott and Darlenea Ayers of Temple; One brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Dorothy Ayers of Bremen; One sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Sammy Rodgers of Temple; Seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives. Mr. Roy Ayers was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 5pm to 9pm.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 5pm from the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 5, 2015 with Reverend Tommy George and Reverend Larry Boswell officiating. Mr. Ayers will be cremated following the funeral service.
