Scotty Chastain

It is with great sadness and regret that we announce the death of our longtime friend and colleague, Mr. Scotty Chastain.
Mr. William Scotty Chastain, age 58, of Memphis, Texas formerly of Carrollton, Georgia and Polk County, Georgia passed away at his residence in Memphis, Texas on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. He was born in Polk County, Georgia on Wednesday, July 16, 1958. Mr. Chastain was the son of the late William Doyle Chastain and the late Bonnie Smith Chastain. Besides his parents, Mr. Chastain is also preceded in death by his grandmother, Martha Chastain and by one brother, Freddie Gerald Chastain.
Survivors include his daughter and her fiancée, Jamie Chastain and Joel Bausell of Memphis Texas; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Eddie and Jo Chastain of Virginia, Jeff and Denise Chastain of Cedartown, Georgia, Pete and Brenda Chastain of Rockmart, Georgia, Darrell Chastain of Cedartown, Georgia, and Wayne Chastain of Cedartown, Georgia; one sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Bobby Morgan of Cedartown, Georgia as well as a number of other relatives.
Mr. Chastain was the long-time owner of Chastain Professional Services prior to selling his company and retiring. He was a member of the West Georgia Funeral Association and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Chastain provided logistical services to funeral homes and coroner’s offices with the highest professional standards. Mr. Chastain moved to Memphis, Texas one year ago.
Memorial Services will be conducted on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10 A.M. from the Memphis United Pentecostal Church in Memphis, Texas with Lawrence Thomas and Brett Prince officiating.
A Graveside & Interment service will be on Saturday morning, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chastain family lot of the Northview Cemetery with Mr. Danny Hutcheson officiating.
