Susan Denise (Smith) Bridges

Mrs. Susan Denise (Smith) Bridges, age 63, of Marietta passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. She was born in Valdosta on Saturday, August 2, 1958. Mrs. Bridges was the daughter of the late, James Smith and the late, Madeline (Olson) Smith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bridges is preceded in death by her husband, Conner Hershel Bridges.

Mrs. Bridges utilized her gift for cooking by serving for over 30 years as a Cook and as a Manager for establishments such as, the Huddle House, Ken’s Corner Grill and Johnston Foods. Susan also worked as a caregiver for the elderly, visiting, running errands, and assisting in any task that would help better their lives. Mrs. Bridges enjoyed visiting her neighbors, cooking (especially beef tips and rice), taking care of her pet cats, and spending time with her friends and family.

Survivors include her two brothers and one sister-in-law, Phillip and Brandi Smith of Villa Rica and Mark Smith of Covington; one sister and brother-in-law, Kathye and Scott Worthey of Conyers; nieces and nephews, Jamie Smith and his wife, Ashley Smith, Garrett Smith, and Ava Smith; great-nieces, Gracie Smith, Emmie Smith and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, Mrs. Bridges will be cremated.
