Mr. Walter Lee (Buck) Jones Jr., age 74, of Bremen passed away Friday, January 22, 2016. He was born in Carrollton on Friday, November 21, 1941. Mr. Jones was the son of the late Walter Lee (Bob) Jones Sr. and the late Mary Opal (Brown) Jones.
Survivors include his wife Jean Jones of Bremen; one son, Jeffrey Lee Jones of Bremen; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Nathan Forrister of Bremen; one brother and sister-in-law, Hurtis and Lawanna Jones of Bremen; one sister, Gene Turner of Carrollton; four grandchildren, Amanda Beaver of Waverly, Georgia, Anne Forrister of Bremen, Casey Ploof of Perkasie, Pennsylvania, and Corey Carpenter of El Paso, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Madison Denman of Carrollton, Olivia Beaver of Waverly, Georgia, and a number of other relatives.
The family will receive friends at Croft Funeral Home on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 5pm to 9pm.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 2pm from the Croft Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wesley Forrister and Reverend Richard Driver officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Bremen with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Neil Vines, Jim Henson, Wayne Cates, Eddie Robinson, Wynn Robinson, and Matt Denman.
