Mr. Walter Fred Culver, age 76, of Temple passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Mr. Culver was born in Birmingham, Alabama on Wednesday, June 7, 1939. He was the son of the late Hester Edward Culver and the late Evelyn Marie Grantham Bailey.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Clay and Brenda Culver of Hiram and Chris Culver of Dallas, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Tim Hughes of Temple; one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Don Dupree of Hayden, Alabama; four grandchildren, Lee Culver, T.C. Hughes, Mary Katherine Culver, and Elizabeth Culver and a number of other relatives.
Mr. Culver served his Country in the United States Navy and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was a hard worker and retired from the Manhattan Storage Company in Atlanta. Among other interests Mr. Culver loved children, listening to classic country music, and taking the time to go fishing.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 11am from the Croft Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Macedonia North Baptist Church Cemetery in Vincent Alabama.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, June 29, 2015 from 6pm to 9pm.
